Holiday Style Ideas To Up Your 2021 Celebrations

The Holidays are in full swing and that means my festive wardrobe is working overtime! Cable knits, regular knits, sequins and sparkles, holiday graphics, cozy cashmere, matching holiday pajama sets, and even festive aprons and tea towels. Yes, even my kitchen gets dressed for the holidays too!

This year, I have put together a list of some of my favorite winter and holiday style pieces to help keep you cozy, warm, and in the holiday spirit!

Did someone say, Denim?

I like to start every outfit off with a great pair of jeans. One of my go-to styles is the ribcage or wedgie jeans from Levi’s. They are a classic highrise fit, that shows off all the right curves, and are so comfortable. The quality in Levi’s Jeans can’t be beat, in my opinion. They are always a basic in my wardrobe, even around the holidays.

Wrapped Up Like a Present

I love the wrap-style trend. I think that wrap-style tops and dresses are so flattering for every body type. I am especially loving this classic wrap blouse in black. I will be styling this a few different ways this holiday season. Dressed up with a gorgeous pair of heels or boots, and gold jewelry, or dressed down with a cute pair of sneakers.

Merry in Monochrome

Monochromatic outfits are popping up all over the runways, and I like to incorporate a little monochromatic magic into my wardrobe every now and then, myself. It feels effortless, but put together, plus chic and timeless. This holiday season, dip your toes in the monochrome world by experimenting with winter accessories that match your outerwear. Or maybe try out a whole monochromatic holiday outfit in your favorite holiday hue. You can go neutral, but the holidays are the perfect excuse to experiment with color!

Bring on the Blankets!

This time of year, I absolutely love to layer my bed and seating areas with cozy throws and blankets. Even if you live in a warmer climate, it gives the illusion of comfort and coziness that people often crave during the holidays. I know that’s a feeling I always want in my home, especially during this time of year. Adding blankets, extra throw pillows, and layering twinkle lights on bookshelves and window sills make for the most inviting atmosphere.

Holiday Weather is Sweater Weather

Cable knits, diamond-stitched, cowl neck, cardigans, cozy cashmere, fair isle print, classic crew, or tight turtle necks. I am here for all of the above, and the many more not listed. Sweaters are so versatile. They can be dressed up or down, are timeless, and let’s not forget the most important part – comfortable! Pair a cute sweater with a pair of your favorite jeans, a beautiful belt, a French tuck, crisp sneakers, or boots, and you have the fastest, chicest outfit! If you are in a cooler climate, pair this with your monochromatic winter accessories, or layer with a cozy shacket.

Ringing in the New Year with Sparklers and Sparkles

Many people have a tradition of seeing Fireworks on New Year’s Eve. For me, New Year’s Eve is never complete without sparklers. You know, those little sticks that you light with a match or lighter and sparks of light go flying in every direction? I have always been mesmerized by those and how the flames look like they are dancing.

I believe that wearing sequins or sparkles on New Year’s Eve, is a stunning way to celebrate and thank the previous year for all the good that has happened, and is a way to welcome all the beauty that awaits us in the next 12 months.

So for me, New Year’s Eve is never complete without Sparklers or Sparkles.

Capture Every Moment

I love the idea of having disposable film cameras or a polaroid camera at holiday events. Guests can feel free to snap photos of themselves and loved ones to take with them, or leave for the host as a memory of the fun they had. With the craziness that has been the last few years, I really want to be more conscious about making memories and capturing them so I can enjoy them for many years to come.
