Shows I’m Watching (and Excited for) in 2025
If you’re like me, you already have a running list of must-watch shows for 2025. Whether it’s returning favorites or highly anticipated new series, I’m counting down the days until these hit our screens. Some of these I’ve auditioned for (fingers crossed 🤞), and others are just pure guilty pleasures. Either way, the TV landscape is looking stacked this year. Here’s what I’ll be tuning into:
1. Severance (Season 2) – Apple TV+
I mean… if you saw Severance Season 1, you already know why this is at the top of my list. The way this show blends psychological thriller with workplace drama is next level. Ben Stiller and Dan Erickson really delivered something special, and I can’t wait to see what twists and turns are coming in Season 2.
2. Beyond the Gates – (TBA)
I’m especially excited for Beyond the Gates because it’s produced by my friend Sheila Ducksworth, who executive produced Wendy Williams: The Movie. Sheila has such a great eye for storytelling, and I have no doubt this series is going to deliver something fresh and exciting. If the buzz around it is any indication, I know this is going to be one of those binge-worthy shows.
3. The Oval (Season 6) – BET
I had a blast filming Season 6 of The Oval this year! Tyler Perry surprised all of us with the twists and turns that unfolded on set. Every time I think I know where things are headed, the script throws in a curveball that leaves me speechless. Working with Tyler is always an adventure, and this season is packed with next-level drama. I can’t wait for everyone to see what we cooked up.
4. White Lotus (Season 3) – HBO
Let’s be real – The White Lotus has redefined ensemble shows. The satirical drama brings in new locations, new scandals, and new casts with every season, and I live for the chaos. The way this show dissects wealth, privilege, and moral decay is chef’s kiss.
5. Outlander (Final Season) – Starz
I can’t believe Outlander is wrapping up. Jamie and Claire’s time-traveling saga has been epic from the start, and while I’m sad to see it go, I’m ready for the emotional rollercoaster of the final season. This show has been beautifully shot and the storytelling is unmatched.
6. Suits: LA – Peacock
The Suits universe is expanding, and I need to see what this new spin-off brings to the table. The original was iconic, so Suits: LA has some big shoes to fill. Legal drama, slick dialogue, and power moves? Yes, please.
7. Daredevil: Born Again – Disney+
Okay, this one is personal. I auditioned for Daredevil: Born Again, and even though I don’t know what the future holds, just reading the material was incredible. The original Daredevil series was dark, gritty, and action-packed, and I have no doubt this revival is going to hit just as hard.
8. The Last of Us (Season 2) – HBO
I was blown away by Season 1. The acting, the writing, the cinematography—it’s all just on point. I’m ready to cry, cheer, and sit in stunned silence again when Season 2 drops. Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey’s performances were unforgettable, and I know they’re going to take us on another wild ride.
9. Alien: Earth – FX (Summer 2025)
I love a good sci-fi series, and the Alien franchise is iconic. Alien: Earth is set to expand the universe, and I have a feeling it’s going to bring all the eerie, adrenaline-pumping goodness fans love. FX has been on a roll with their shows lately, so I have high hopes for this one.
10. All’s Fair – Hulu (2025)
This one is another personal favorite because I’ve auditioned for All’s Fair twice. I absolutely loved the material, and while I’m still manifesting a spot in Season 2 (hey Hulu, I’m ready when you are!), I’m still excited to watch it. The writing is sharp, and the premise feels so fresh.
11. Wednesday (Season 2) – Netflix
Wednesday became a global sensation, and honestly, I get it. The mix of dark humor, mystery, and Tim Burton’s flair is impossible to resist. Jenna Ortega absolutely crushed it as Wednesday Addams, and I know Season 2 is going to dive even deeper into Nevermore Academy’s secrets.
12. The Bear (Season 3) – FX
I cannot say enough good things about The Bear. Jeremy Allen White’s performance as Carmy is just next level, and the intensity of the kitchen scenes is enough to make anyone break into a sweat. If you haven’t watched this yet, do yourself a favor and catch up—Season 3 is going to be fire.
Final Thoughts
2025 is shaping up to be an incredible year for TV, and I’m ready for all the drama, action, and emotional gut punches these shows are about to serve up. Whether it’s stepping back into fantasy worlds, revisiting classic characters, or discovering new favorites, this list has something for everyone.
